Our Vision

Career and Technical Education (CTE) helps students turn their interests into possibilities and their goals into action.

Through engaging coursework, hands-on learning, industry credentials, and real-world experiences, CTE empowers students to explore their passions, develop in-demand skills, and discover career pathways that align with their interests and strengths.

Whether students are preparing for college, entering the workforce, or exploring opportunities for the future, CTE helps them build the knowledge, confidence, and skills to take their next steps toward success.

Our Goals

Career and Technical Education prepares students to think critically, solve problems, collaborate, and apply their learning to real-world challenges. Our Instructional Approach

Career and Technical Education provides a pathway for students to explore interests, discover career possibilities, and build skills for the future.

In middle school, students explore a variety of career fields, identify their interests and strengths, and begin connecting classroom learning to potential career opportunities.

In high school, students build on these experiences through focused career preparation, hands-on instruction, industry credentials, and high quality work-based learning opportunities that prepare them for postsecondary education, employment, and lifelong success.

Learning by Doing

Classroom instruction is aligned with state competencies and industry standards. Students apply learning and practice technical skills using the same equipment and tools that are used in the industry in order to earn industry credentials while in high school.

Learning by Leading

CTSO participation is encouraged in all CTE classes. CTSOs extend the learning experience by encouraging students to engage in civic responsibility and develop leadership skills.

Learning by Partnering

Our community and industry partners support learning by offering High-Quality Work-Based Learning opportunities for students.
