NNPS Faith-Based Partnerships

The NNPS Faith-Based Partnerships initiative is dedicated to building meaningful, collaborative relationships between our schools and faith-based organizations. These alliances are designed to strengthen the support system for students, families, and staff by providing faith communities with clear opportunities to positively impact education. Through service, mentorship, and support for academic needs, these partnerships create a robust network of encouragement and resources.

By working together, schools and faith partners foster student success, enhance school culture, and promote a spirit of unity across the Newport News community.

How to Get Involved and Become a Formal Partner

To establish a school-faith partnership, please follow these steps:

  1. Identify Schools of Interest: Determine which Newport News schools (elementary, middle, or high) you would like to support. View the NNPS School Directory.

  2. Schedule a Meeting: Set up an introductory meeting with the school principal or the designated Family Engagement Team at your chosen school(s). Visit Family and Community Engagement at NNPS.
